The Providence, RI duo of David Lamb and MorganEve Swain -- aka Brown Bird -- not only saw their latest album Salt for Salt released last year to widespread acclaim, but they did a massive, multi-month run of tour dates opening for The Devil Makes Three in the fall, followed by a week of shows with O'Death in January. The duo -- along with their blistering live show -- continues to be a hot commodity in 2012, announcing a massive run of winter and spring tour dates that includes a support run opening for the Yonder Mountain String Band, followed by a run of opening dates for Trampled By Turtles. In between, Brown Bird will be playing a few shows with The Devil Makes Three, and will be hitting SXSW in Austin as well.  The full run of dates can be found below. As anyone who has seen them play knows (and if you haven't, watch the video below), Brown Bird's live show is something to be remembered.

More info on Salt for Salt:

Salt for Salt, released by Supply & Demand Music (home to Dark Dark Dark, Vandaveer, etc), is best listened to in a room made of wood, where the warm layers of guitar, banjo, violin, double bass, cello, and bass drum (wooden rim) would hang as thick as they were meant to be. The album artwork (below) was illustrated by Will Schaff (Okkervil River, Godspeed! You Black Emperor, Songs:Ohia). The album is now available for purchase.
