Floating just under the radar. Ever growing with the sounds and directions of the late night London sound is Young Athletes League. The collaborative duo of Pierre Vaux and Harry Sanderson don’t quite belong to any specific genre, their music comes from sporadic improv sessions -- oftentimes cut playing live -- then taken home for hours of blending and creating inside a personal computer.

Originally from Oxford, Vaux & Sanderson saw the hometown setting somewhat constricting (as many of us do) so they quickly pointed their sails for London town. There they could take influences they grew up on and put them under the microscope. What came out of the lab is a sound Ableton bred with an arsenal of loops and synths lead by vocal chants; digitized and layered to a spaced out wall of sound.

Young Athletes League’s debut release, We Only Feed Ourselves, hits March 29th under the newly formed NY imprint, Ceremony Recordings. Three tracks suited for the winter stretch and darkened clubs --‘Glossed Over’ ‘Monaco Sunglasses’ & ‘We Only Feed Ourselves’ -- are instantly inviting, pulling you in, and rhythmically staying put in your memory banks.

With remixes slated by Holy Other, Chad Valley, and maybe a few surprises along the way, Young Athletes League is ready to be noticed.
