Peter Project has come a long way since he used to leave his homemade tapes in random Halifax, Nova Scotia bathrooms.
Having previously released a 7" split with electro-rockers Woodhands, Peter Project again joins forces with Toronto label Fuzzy Logic Recordings to invade your soundwaves.

Equipped with his vital MPC sampler, a few turntables, whirring organs, keyboard synths and vintage vinyl records, Peter Project churns out predominantly instrumental soundtracks, infused with friendly old school hip-hop beats, bossa nova swingin' soul, nerdy electro sounds we all seems to love so much, all held together with that lovable lo-fi indie rock vibe.

No subculture is impermeable and no musical clique is impervious to Peter Project's all-encompassing cosmic-sonic rays.

Peter Project, aka Peter Chapman's musical roots can be traced to playing organs and being a founding member of the now de-funct The Midways, a highly regarded, classic garage rock band, that has played festivals all over Europe. Peter has also lent his nimble fingers to pop bands like The Bicycles and Sean MacDonald and The Astronauts. Peter's day job as music composer for television and film has also seen great success, most notably featured songs on Jim Henson's Sesame Street.

His work with Childrens' music doesn't stray too far from his work as Peter Project. Peter uses simplistic beats that we are naturally atune to, synching up with our movements, making this album perfect for dancing, walking or head bopping. From headphones to the dancefloor, Peter Projects' tracks can send you into a dreamy ethereal world of boxy robots and flashy tracksuits.

The self titled album features some fantastic trumpet playing and extraordinary guest rhymes from Canadian underground rappers More or Les, Word Burglar, Masia One, and Zaki
Ibrahim. More or Les and Wordburglar take a nerdy twist on traditional hip hop bravado, while Masia One and Zaki show off their their strong and silky lyrical prowess.

Serving up a little something for everyone, Peter Project has been touted as producing "hannah-barbera-hip-hop" and "electro 60's a go-go".
