Legendary anti-folk band formed in 1999, Herman Dune split their time between France, Sweden and Brooklyn. The Herman Dune family now live variously in Berlin, New York & Paris and gather to tour and record as often as possible.
With a brand-new percussion lineup, the vintage sound of an actual Bourbon 'horns & brass' section, and the vocal support of girl-group The Woo-Woos (Lisa Li-Lund & The New York Babyskins), Herman Dune returns to the US with a new ep, "I Wish That I Could See You Soon."
'I Wish I Could See You Soon', a big hug of a song, charting the euphoria and uncertainty of a new love. It reminds us of a classic happy/sad Jonathan Richman number! Rolling Stone named it one of the best 100 songs in 2007 as it originally appeared on their UK lp, "Giant.".
Additionally, they've recorded a dozen Peel Sessions and toured with folks including Arcade Fire, Kimya Dawson & Of Montreal.
Stay tuned for EP2 in late June and a brand new full length LP later in 2008.
