Suburban synthesizer spaz duo, J+J+J (aka newlyweds Joanna and Johnny Ludwig), unveil their long overdue follow up to 2005's They Hump While We Go Nuts (Johann's Face) with yet another unstoppable sugar high electronic music adventure!
On High Voltage Feast is Almost Here (Ghost Arcade LTD.), the J's have metabolized their DIY energy from a different brand of sugar, a more refined organic raw cane variety that still showcases their propensity to party like 10-year-olds, while also conveying more melodic, dance-driven tracks that utilize every inch of the J's newly constructed, synthesizer-laden, home recording studio.Â
From the opening track, 'Anonymous Party Starters,' a 90's techno inspired jam that channels your awkward inner dance diva, all the way to 'Bedside Astrologer,' the bubbling-bass arpeggioed Vocoder-drenched album closer, the listener is never allowed to come up for air through this 50+ minute synthetic assault! You can also rest assured that the topics covered are as absurd as ever: senior Citizens escaping from nursing homes in the middle of the night; having the ability to eat lightning; seeing ghosts in Poland as a child; using water parks as your anti depressant, It's all covered here!
Keeping with J+J+J's affinity for re-working and fine tuning their music endlessly for live performances, High Voltage Feast... is being released in two forms: a CD, and a limited edition custom USB flash drive. The limited edition USB includes bonus content such as videos, audio stems for remixing, and downloadable 'up to the minute' future versions of the album tracks. It's kind of like getting software updates for your J+J+J album.Â
There's no doubt that J+J+J have struck 'Lightning Hot' once again with High Voltage Feast is Almost Here. If you still don't believe it, go check them out LIVE when they come through your town. They perform in front of a homemade MIDI-Controlled LED light matrix! If you are still not impressed after witnessing the magic live, then you should probably just stay home, you don't know what fun is!
