Silver Swans was formed by Ann Yu (formerly of LoveLikeFire) and DJ Producer Jon Waters. Two musical worlds apart were brought together during their late night collaborative sessions. This eventually led them to record their song “Secrets.” Featured on their Secrets EP, its dream pop esthetics slowly lulled the hearts of many that heard it. Their dreamy sounds led them to share stages with the likes of Active Child, La Roux, Still Corners, Xeno & Oaklander, Austra and Her Space Holiday. They were asked to perform events such as Brooklyn Vegan’s CMJ showcase and Rooftop Films. More recently they have been invited by Noise Pop Festival and SXSW.

Forever, the band’s new album is an album about “friends and lovers” Ann Yu says. “Let It Happen” their new single has been described by Death and Taxes as “a whimsical first meeting of future lovers.” The darker tones and chiming synths are indicative of the mood that flows throughout the new album. Their constant attraction to dreamscapes will be heard on every song. The new album will be released February 7th, 2012.
